there is a way..

This morning I was reading Leviticus....  
- Sacrificial laws  
- Food laws  
- Health laws   
and
- 'Getting Close to God' laws...?      

Nadab and Abihu got close to God's presence  
in a disrespectful way...  
They may have been drunk...
No matter,
they did not survive the encounter. :(
see Lev 10:1-10

The Lord told Moses (Uncle of the deceased),
"Among those who approach me
I will show myself Holy;
in the sight of all people
I will be honored." ref Lev 10:3

Later on God told Moses,
"Be holy for I am holy." ref Lev 11:44

and Jesus in Matt 5:48 said,
"Be perfect, therefore, as your
Heavenly Father is perfect."

Ananias and Sapphira died when they lied
to the Holy Spirit about the selling price of their land.....
ref Act 5:1-11

Wow.... Who is this God?
That Loves me...
Yet is unapproachable....
except for the perfect....

Hmm...

Yet...
Hebrews 4:16 tells me;
Let us then approach the throne of grace with
confidence,
so that we may receive mercy
and find grace
to help us in our time of need.

Confidence....
because of the one
who went before me.
Jesus.
God sent His Son to 'clear the way' ref Heb 6:20

To give me His robes of Righteousness
That I might stand in the Presence of the
Almighty.
and not die....
But LIVE.

O Lord,
You are awesome
and mighty
and unaproachable
and
Yet You want me
You call to me
and You make a way for me.

Thank You
Jesus.
Thank You 
Father
Thank You
Holy Spirit.

Yes.
Thank You.
