Good day, Black Creek Church Family,
This week I had to call Telus to get a new contract for my internet and phone service.
Yeay!  My favourite thing to do.... NOT
But... that changed.
Into a fun surprise....
Someone at Telus answered within a minute!   WHAT! 
They transferred me to the department that could help me! 
The person there was kind and helpful including a bit of a reduction in price from the last contract. Nice.
Hmmm....  
While I was waiting for her to work through the details I had this thought....  
"Should I ask her where her call center is located?"  Hmm..
I did.  
She was talking to me from the Philippines!   With a 'Canadian' accent!
Wow.
Then I thought....   Hmmm....
No  Peter......  Too much information...  
But then we were waiting quite a long time....  
Do I ask?...  Lord? (Go for it!) 
I told her that I have some friends that made a movie!
And that the Philippines has viewed it more than the movie goers in the USA!
I could tell she was a bit sceptical.  
But she asked....  What is the movie?
Within 30 seconds she had looked it up and seen part of the trailer.
WHAT! 
She was so interested and talked about her country, the faith of many and that she loved movies like this!
 This Saturday, October 24th at 2 pm is the Camp Bob Dessert  Fundraiser afternoon event at the Filberg Center

 Pray for the world we live in.  Ask the Lord who to let your light shine for today.  You never know, you might make a new friend somewhere faraway! 
At the end of our conversation, she commented that she had so enjoyed talking to me, like an old friend.
Donna just laughed and said that now I have a new friend in the Philippines!
 Matthew 5:14   You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15  Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
16  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
