Presence....

This morning I was reading about 
Elijah and God in the:   
Wind - No    
Earthquake - No    
Fire - No    
Gentle whisper - Yes    

Funny thing was 
Not sure how often I have read this, 
but I always think of it as
needing to be quiet to 
HEAR 
God 

Elijah heard God fine.
The Word of the Lord spoke to him
just prior to this event.
- read about it in 1 King 19:9-13

It wasn't about Hearing God
it was about the PRESENCE of God

I have never thought about the difference
If I hear God... He must be here.....?

Apparently not quite the same.

When Moses was in God's presence
'Take off your Shoes.'

But that wasn't the case normally when God talked to him.....

Lord,
You are teaching me to listen to You
To stop the chatter in my head and
Hear You....

But
What is this about Your Presence....?
I know I experience You differently than Elijah
because Your Spirit
lives in me....

Is that
Your sweet
Presence?
that brings peace and joy
and a deep sense of
Satisfaction
to my soul?
or
is there more of You
that I don't know?

Hmm....
I suspect so....

Come Lord Jesus
Come
Fill my soul with Your
Present
Quiet
Whisper

Your Presence

Yes.
