Good day, Black Creek Church Family,
Donna and I are back from Manitoba and feeling like our fall routines are 'jelling'.
This week I had several meetings with different folks.
My takeaway?
Stability in who we are, what we are up to, and knowing that we are not alone makes a big difference.
I read another article about the plague of loneliness in our North American culture.   How to find friends and 'keep' them.
As a believer who wants to continue to grow, I have been reminded of how important it is for apprentices of Jesus to spend time with Him (alone)
and spend time with other believers.
Potluck this Sunday after the service.
Bring a main course , or salad , or dessert  (2 of the 3 would be helpful)  The church will supply beverages .
This Sunday, Camp Bob Lost and Found will be FREE for ALL  It will be set up in the basement hallway.
This week we received the news that Barb McGinn slipped quietly into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday.
Her memorial will be on Saturday, October 17th at 1:30 pm at the church.
Fellowship and tea to follow in the activity hall.
It was Barb's desire that financial gifts go to Youth For Christ.
 Pray for Barb's family.
Pray for those in our community who are lonely and finding it difficult to connect.
Pray to know who to call or invite into your circle this week.
Paul's words to the church.  Powerful directions to keep on keepin on - in Team.
1 Thessalonians 5:6    So then let us not sleep, as others do,
but let us keep awake and be sober.

7  For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night.
8  But since we belong to the day, let us be sober,

having put on the breastplate of faith and love,
and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
9  For God has not destined us for wrath,
but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10  who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.
11    Therefore encourage one another and build one another up,
just as you are doing.
Blessings on your week,
Thank you for being part of my community of faith
and encouraging me....
Peter Jackson
