just thankful.

This morning I was struck again 
by God's plans to rescue the Gentiles 
at the cost of His chosen people.    

Rom 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers,
so that you may not be conceited:
Israel has experienced a hardening in part
until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.    

Wow.     
He says he is keeping a remnant 
a small group who are hungry to hear 
and have open eyes to see 

But the majority of Israel 
He has hardened 
until the 'time of the Gentiles' has been completed....     

So.... Paul exhorts me...
Therefore.....
In view of God's mercy....
let me offer my body
as living sacrifices
Holy and Pleasing
to Him.....
Transformed by the renewing
of my mind
living into His will
Being a part of His body
here in the midst of the other parts
ref Rom 12:1-8

Lord Jesus,

Sometimes I forget that my rescue
is at the cost of a nation
Your People
being held back...

No boasting
No pride on my part

Just knowing
that I am the recipient
of unmerited favour...

Your attention to me...

A humble
Thank You.
Jesus.
