Good day, Black Creek Church Family,
This morning I was reading Psalm 139
Beyond the amazing parts where The Lord of the Universe knows my inmost parts,
I was pondering the parts of the Psalm that describe David hiding from God.
He records numerous places God where, even though others can't see him,
God does.
As I prayed today, I realized that sometimes I am fearful of what God might have in store for me.
And Yet.....
I trust Him
David trusted Him
and still... there were days, I suspect, that felt like a deep dark place to hide might have been better.
David trusted the one who can see in the darkest night.
Who knew his every cell.
and thought
and motive.
and loved and delighted in him still.
This Sunday is a CAMP BOB morning service and fundraiser lunch.
Bring your tappen shoes for camp worship songs
and your appetite for a fun 'camp' lunch.
Next Sunday will be our short congregational meeting after the service to vote on the bylaw amendment. See the attached documents.
Psalm 139:7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol (the grave), you are there!
9 If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
Blessings as you walk towards the things
that our Lord has planned for you since ancient days past.
Know that He knows even your fears
and He loves you there.
Yes, keep walking...
