Good day Church, people of God.

Donna and I have been looking forward to one of our adult children arriving this week with their friends.

A few months ago they asked if they could come out and do some West Coast Adventures with our place as home-base.

It was an enthusiastic, 'Yes!' from us.

I love being a part of our children's and friends' lives.

I am actually finding that one of the pleasures has been 'the looking forward'...

the planning and anticipation before the visit.

Looking forward to seeing them, cooking and eating meals together, evening games or chatting by the fire.

Funny how that works now that I am older (it certainly didn't when I was young).

Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians speaks of his desire to be with them.

2:17  But since we were torn away from you, brothers, for a short time, in person not in heart,

we endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face,

18  because we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, again and again—but Satan hindered us.
19  For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?
20  For you are our glory and joy.

This Saturday is the 1963s birthday party.  Come on out and celebrate with some of the folks who turned 60 this year.

Bring a snack and your dancin' shoes. Black Creek Community Center at 7:00 pm

Note from the Library: "We are currently working through our present and gifted inventory and do not need any more book donations at this time."

I continue to be amazed and thankful for how God is moving by your prayers for those in our circles of care.

Blessings as you invite God into difficult situations.

Each week I look forward to seeing many of you on Sunday or at other events where I get to connect.

My heart is filled with gratitude and thanks for my connections in our community of Faith.

1 Thessalonians 3:6  But now that Timothy has come to us from you,

and has brought us the good news of your faith and love

and reported that you always remember us kindly and long to see us,

as we long to see you—

Blessings on your week of looking forward to......

Being with different folks who make a difference in your life,

Peter Jackson
