Good day, Black Creek Church Family,
Today, I met with some pastors on a Zoom Call.
During the Provincial Pastors Conference, I was challenged.
How do I lead others into a vital, transformative relationship with Jesus
if I am not personally experiencing His work in my own life?
This morning I stepped into the zone with 3 brothers in the Lord to examine and wrestle with good questions:
How does the Holy Spirit teach and interpret scripture to me?
How does He speak to me in everyday contexts.... like shopping in Super Store?
How can I know it is His voice that is speaking (discernment)?
The leader of the group left me with 2 more questions to ponder and ask the Lord about.
- Lord, what do you like about me?
- Lord, what do you see when you look at me?
Hmm.
Such interesting questions.
I am curious what His answers might be.
A reminder that we are planning to update our Constitution's Bylaws so that they better reflect how we do church and best practices.
The draft document is included with this email. Changes from the previous document are in red or cross out.
A policy document is included as it is referenced in the new draft bylaws
Tom Hartz and I will be available after the service to answer questions.
There will be a short congregational meeting to vote on the draft following the service on June 1st
This Sunday, we look forward to hearing from Richard and Nia Jones with Father Heart Ministries. They are bringing the morning message and an afternoon teaching time for those who are interested.
After the Service, a light lunch will be provided, followed by a teaching session from 1:00 to 2:30 in the sanctuary for those who would like to learn more.
Child care will be provided during the afternoon session.
Continue to pray for the memorial for Grace Brown this Friday. Pray for the many impacted by her young life.
Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpens iron,
and one man sharpens another.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for he who promised is faithful.
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another,
and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Thank you for walking with me on my journey of faith and renewal.
Blessings as you step into asking the Lord some of those questions too!
Peter Jackson
