Good day, Black Creek Church Family,

This week has been full of.....

Waiting.

Our saga with Charles in Cambodia and trying to get him home (Edmonton) has had a number of holdups and miscommunications.

Including some angry responses on phone calls, missed emails, computers that lock up at critical communication times......

There are different ways to manage and cope.....

I used to work in a shop where the supervisor threw tools.  Sometimes large ones - like impact wrenches.....

Anger, frustration, disappointment, 'fairness', .....you don't understand what I am going through.

This week I was exploring music to fill a few of my quiet moments in the house.

An old hymn popped onto the play list.  It is well with my soul.....

Horatio Spafford penned the words while waiting on an Atlantic crossing to join his wife after a series of tragedies.    Read more here

This Saturday - Evening Worship event at 7:00 pm at the church

This Sunday - Baby Shower 2-4 pm in the Activity Hall

This Sunday - Annual General Meeting at 7-9 pm in the Activity Hall.

All welcome. Members voting. Bring your reports booklet, please.

Pray for our world this week.  I think it needs more 'God'

I am so reminded that through this life journey, there will be times and seasons of difficulty...

My responses hopefully come more and more from a place that is anchored

A strong cable that is attached to an unchanging place.  That won't drift in the 'storm'.

Hebrews 6:13  For when God made a promise to Abraham,

since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself,

14  saying,  Surely I will bless you and multiply you.
15  And thus Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise.

18b  ....we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement

to hold fast to the hope set before us.
19  We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul,

a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,
20  where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf....

Hang on tight.

He won't let you go!

Blessings as you learn to lean into His peace
