Good day, Black Creek Church Family,

Last week my 'renewal' leader challenged me to start the day with a question.
"God, is there something you want me to do today?"

I have often started the day with an attitude of expectation and listening,
but to be honest, I seldom ask that very specific question.
This past week His answers were not lightning bolts from Heaven... but they were specific 'leadings'.
Most often my assignment was to,"Serve.... so and so (who ever I happened to be working with that day)"

So what does serving look like?
A different agenda....
Listening and watching for someone else's agenda, needs and even wants.

This Sunday the church picnic will be after the service at our church.
Hotdogs,   burgers, beverages and ice cream supplied.
**Bring a salad or dessert to share**
Games and prizes to follow.

Pray and ask for His assignment for you today.
I am always curious to see what the Master of the Universe's plans are for my day.

This morning my reading was from Luke 22 where Jesus addresses this listening mind set with his disciples.
Greatness.... defined by serving.
24  A dispute also arose among them,
as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.
25  And he said to them,  The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them,
and those in authority over them are called benefactors (title of honour such as prince).
26  But not so with you.
Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest,
and the leader as one who serves.
27  For who is the greater,
one who reclines at table or one who serves?
Is it not the one who reclines at table?
But I am among you as the one who serves.

Enjoy the week and the asking to be a
Part of God's plans
Blessings as you listen for His voice,

Peter Jackson
