Good Day, Black Creek Church Family,
Just 4 short days ago we were declaring:
"He has risen".
Responding, "He has risen indeed".
It makes me ponder the questions;
'So what?'
'Now what?'
Not a sarcastic 'so what', but a, ' what has changed?' what is no longer valid?
Death is defeated by Jesus.
What else is no longer a principle that rules life?
Health, finances, house and home, work, recreation.....
What changed with that temple veil torn and Jesus coming back to life?
and then...
Now what?
What do I do with that?
What do I change to acknowledge LIFE is very different now that I will never die.
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life.
Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,
26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.
Do you believe this?
Pray for those in your circle of care to look up and look out to this hope we carry. Life... even in the midst of challenges.
In light of this, the writer to the Hebrews challenges me to 'grow up' and be mature.
He says that maturity looks like:
Hebrews 6:9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things things that belong to salvation.
10 For God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.
11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,
12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
- Loving the children of God, the gathered.
- Patience waiting for the Hope of all things being made new.
What does the rest of your week look like?
How does Jesus being alive change that?
Blessings as you step into Life today,
Peter Jackson
