Good day, Black Creek Church Family

This week it turned SUMMER!
Wow, what a joy to go outside and feel Warm!

Donna was out at Camp Bob getting things ready there for the Spring School Groups.
The trees are budding, blooming and getting ready for a fruitful summer.

What about me?
What is budding and blooming in my life?
Turning 64 in 10 days.... makes me wonder, "What's my 'best before' date?"

Sometimes I still feel 20 or 30.
and sometimes...... Not.

I heard someone on the radio today say that the older they get, the happier they get.
Wow, that is something to look forward to.

I am not sure if I get happier as I get older, but I do know I am more thankful.
Little things, and big.
It reminds me of Dad talking about his garden, and the paths he cared for in their parklike property.
He was so thankful.
Being thankful gives me a sense of settledness and joy that undergirds what ever is happening in my world.

Coming up Sunday Morning, May 3rd - Barry presents "
Who we are - Our Story, and
Who we are - Our DNA"

Saturday, May 9th, Camp Bob Work Day, Lunch provided.

Pray for peace in our world. Hearts that will reach out to find peace in these troubled times.

Psalm 107:1
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble
3 and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.
4 Some wandered in desert wastes,
finding no way to a city to dwell in;
5 hungry and thirsty,
their soul fainted within them.
6 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
7 He led them by a straight way
till they reached a city to dwell in.
8 Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of men!
9 For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things.
Enjoy the things that He has given us.
Donna and I take a moment every evening before we pray
to tell each other three things we are thankful for.
It helps keep me centred, especially on difficult days.
Thank you for being part of my life
