This morning I was interested in
Ezekiel's description of false prophets....
They would say something (usually something that sounded nice)
and then expect God to fulfill it.
because they said they had 'words from God'....
but they were actually words of their own imagination...

False prophets...
...It would not go well with them.....
Ezekiel 13:1-7

and yet....

Jesus said,
John 15:5 "I am the vine;
you are the branches.
If a man remains in me and I in him,
he will bear much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not remain in me,
he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers;
such branches are picked up,
thrown into the fire and burned.
7 If you remain in me and
my words remain in you,
ask whatever you wish,
and it will be given you.
8 This is to my Father’s glory,
that you bear much fruit,
showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Hmm...
The one who abides in Christ...
The one who gets 'sap' from Him... the vine....
can 'speak in the name of the Lord'
and it will be done for him....

but if they are not 'in the vine'....
they are dry branches .... thrown away...

Lord Jesus,
Relationship
You in me
and I in You....
changes everything.
I am your child and You do
what I ask....
Not manipulative
but acts of love
one to another....

Normal....
fruit on the branch
that is in 'relationship' with the vine.

Wow...

Abide;
- present to You,
- persistent to continue
- becoming like you

and You respond to me....
because You love to show everyone
I am Yours.

Yeah.
:)
