This coming week I am taking 'Life Coach' training.
Training to listen and ask
rather than assume and speak....

The shift will be
to understand that the person I am listening to
is the expert on their problem.
I just need to ask questions
that direct their mind and heart
to the root issues and the root answers
without
making assumptions
by asking
what expectations are
and what they would like to do
to change the situation.

Interestingly I came 'across' these 2 proverbs today....

Pv 18:2 A fool finds no pleasure
in understanding
but delights in airing his own opinions.

18:13 He who answers
before listening
—that is his folly and his shame.

Funny thing is....
Last week God gave me the same message
and I have had to 'bite my tongue' quite a few times since then...

Awwg... :P

Lord, thank You for providing this training
to teach me
to listen
and not to need to have the 'answer'
to everyone else's problems....

Thank You for teaching me
grace
and that other's journeys
are full of You too! :)

Blessed be Your Name
Your Spirit speaks
to others
and to me....
Listening
and
Hearing
are skills I choose to
hone.

Yeah.
