Good Day Black Creek Church Family,
This week was a bit of a challenge.

Donna and I arrived home from Kelowna on late Tuesday evening....
By Thursday, I had a sore throat....

Friday noon, I called in reinforcements to cover leading our Band of Brothers men's group that evening.
I am feeling much better now.
But for 2 days, I struggled to breathe.

It took me back to my years with chronic Asthma.

Everything gets harder. Initiative to do extras is gone.
Relatively simple things like bending over to tie shoes or eat food impact the next breath.
And, not knowing how long it would go on was concerning.

Pray, do the next thing in front of me, lower my expectations - what is the new 'normal'....
Pray some more.

Pray
- to persevere - to do the things I need to do.
- to know what my limits are and when to ask for help.
- for healing - for sure.
- for increased empathy for those in my circle who struggle with similar challenges.
This Saturday: Camp Bob Work Day. Let them know if you are coming for lunch. Info@campbob.ca

2 Corinthians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
4 who comforts us in all our affliction,
so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
5 For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings,
so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
6 If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation;
and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort,
which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer.
In your situation, know that God knows, hears, and is with you.
He won't leave you.
Ever.
