King forever.

Yesterday I was feeling a bit 'yukky' about the whole   
atrocities in Israel 'history lesson'...    

Today I read a treasure story    
that comes right out of that time....      

Ruth      
4 short chapters about a woman   
who gave up everything  
to care for her mother-in-law Naomi.   

and God was pleased   
and God included her   
in the linage of   
David  
and  
Jesus     

King David
King over a nation that 
God said He wanted to have no king
but Himself

David -> A king that 'was after God's own heart'... -> Acts 13:22
A king that was given a promise that his descendants would be King
forever....

in the end 
God would indeed be that King

Jesus
of the root of David -> Rev 5:5
My King

forever.

What blows me away
is how God used people like Ruth.
How He planned 
and 'painted'
with brushstrokes that reveal 
        care
             submission
                   beauty
                vulnerability
            Blessings for obedience
      waiting on God
  Trusting Him no matter what....
people like Ruth
in the time of the ugliness
of Godless rebellion...

So cool.

Lord,
I love how You finish...
....where You started....  
Back in the Garden
The Creator
living in Your Creation....

and how You continue to weave this
tale of redemption
with people who
release everything to You
to do as You would.

Yes.

and now You are 'brushing' me
into that picture as well..
