Cursed.

This morning I was interested in the Law
which advised those in the Jewish justice system
that capital crime executions were to be carried out by
Stoning.

Because hanging someone on a tree was considered a curse from God on them....
see Deut 21:23

and then Jesus did that....
He redeemed me from the curse of the law
by becoming cursed.

He who knew no sin
intentionally set a course
that would put His sinless life
His perfectness
His beauty
His Holiness
His spotlessness
under the curse of God...
receiving God's wrath
in my place.....
Paul talks of this in Galatians 3:13-14

I was thinking of that....
Jesus,
Every morning he would wake up
Listen, and then be
obedient
to the Father....
and then one day.....
He stepped into the place
where He knew
the Father would pour out his displeasure on Him
The Father's anger at sin that defiled an entire race.

And He did it
for me
for the Joy of winning me back.
He suffered the displeasure
He was despised
by His Father....
Hebrews 12:2

O my......  :(

Lord Jesus.
I am again struck by Your sacrifice
You lost all dignity and honour
...for me

thank You.

O thank You....
what can I say...
but
Thank You.
