Community - October 2, 2025
Good day, Black Creek Church Family,
Just a short update from last week's prayer request: for us to be able to connect with a family member on this (east) side of Canada.
- No phone, email or text responses. They had moved without a new address.
Hmmm. What now
We connected with their mom in Alberta (4 hr time difference), and she suggested visiting the previous address to see if anyone there might know something.
So... we drove about an hour out of the city we were in.
Found the street
in a village
by the Bay of Fundy.
There were only 5 houses on the street.
Two with vehicles parked in their driveways did not answer the door. The last house with a vehicle was set off the street a bit, and I didn't think that they would have anything for us. But there were people there, and when we introduced ourselves, it turned out they are living with / caring for the person we were looking for! And, they just happened to be there - that hour, cleaning out and moving to the new house....
WOW!
We were received well and invited to come to the new house (almost 2 hr drive from there) and meet with my relative.
Which we did.
And,
I was able to have a private conversation with the Mom of the family about some of the details of the living situation.
We walked away marvelling at how God arranged and gave us favour - on a certain day, at a certain time.... and joyfully received.
Thank you for praying.
Donna and I are planning to catch the ferry to Newfoundland this week. I suspect this coming month will be quite different from what we have been doing so far (visiting friends/family and touristy stops).
