Good day, Black Creek Church family,

This past week Donna and I traveled to the BC Mennonite Conference and Pastor's Spouse retreat.

Over five days, we heard numerous testimonies of God's faithfulness in the challenges of life and ministry.  Healing, finances, life focus, relationship restoration, and profound transformation in people as they came to know Jesus.

My eyes leaked a lot this week.  Something about my Lord reaching into lives makes my heart ache and resonate in a deep (good) way.

A scripture in our Bible reading plan captures that for me.

Psalm 26:3  For your steadfast love is before my eyes,

and I walk in your faithfulness.

8  O LORD, I love the habitation of your house

and the place where your glory dwells.

In the stories I heard, often His Glory was revealed in challenges and hardship.

There was a process of giving up and releasing.

Sometimes His Glory was found in the fruit of listening and being quiet over a season.

His Presence....

The Glory of His word whispered into my heart.

It ignites a glow of knowing that I am known, loved and that He desires me

to enter into His plans for my world and my circle of care.

Next Saturday, May 11th is a Camp Bob Work Day from 9:30 - 3:30  Lunch is supplied

No RVSP required.  Come for the morning, or afternoon or all day!

Don't forget that Sunday, May 12th is Mother's day

Hold up those in your circle.  Our Lord loves to be invited into what moves our hearts.

Pray especially for those who have been recently baptized.

1 King 19:11  And he said,

Go out and stand on the mount before the LORD.

And behold, the LORD passed by,

and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD,

but the LORD was not in the wind.

And after the wind an earthquake,

but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

12  And after the earthquake a fire,

but the LORD was not in the fire.

And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.
13  And when Elijah heard it,

he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave.

And behold, there came a voice to him.....

In the beginning, God spoke life into creation

He still speaks Life into me

- Listen,

- Hang out with His Body

- Open His Word

and know His words

His Glory

His Joy

over you

this week,

Peter Jackson
