Good day church family of God in Black Creek and beyond,

This week I worked through an Annual Review document with our leadership team (Elders).

We have been doing this for a number of years and it has been interesting to me to reflect on what has changed, what is new, and what I am looking forward to.

 What has changed?

In the past couple of years, the team has challenged me to take more time out for family and self-care.

This last year has given me space to breathe, think, dream and move on some things that haven't been moving forward - like working on some projects with Donna.

 What is new?

Over the last almost 15 years many of you have prayed for a medical condition that results in me having migraines on a fairly regular basis.  In the last month, I have experienced a change for the better, and am hoping and praying that trend continues.

What am I looking forward to?

My Lord is working on me to continue to discover what Resting in Him looks like.

It feels like He is moving me more into the 'Zone' of knowing His abiding presence in every situation....  Rest - no matter what is going on.

Matthew 11:28  Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me,

for I am gentle and lowly in heart,

and you will find rest for your souls.
30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Next Friday is Good Friday.  Come, Worship, Contemplate, and Commune together 10:30 in our church building.

Easter Sunrise Service at 6:45 am at Oyster Bay Shoreline Park - across from the Driftwood Restaurant.

For a short worship, devotional and baptism service.  Our friends from the UM church will have a good fire going to keep us warm.

Easter Sunday Morning Breakfast at the church - 8:00 am.

Bring some fruit, pastries or special Easter fare to share and celebrate together.

Pray for those in our community that have medical challenges.  God hears us when we pray.

Hebrews 4:9  So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God,

10  for whoever has entered God's rest

has also rested from his works as God did from his.
11    Let us therefore strive to enter that rest.....

Blessings as you prepare for the Easter season of reflection and declaration that Jesus died for us.... and Lives!
