Good Day, Black Creek Community Church.

It's Canada Day!

I grew up being 'sort-of-proud' of being a Canadian.
Patriotic is a word we didn't really use growing up.

I remember going to the States and being struck by how many flags on front lawns there were.

Dad put up a flag on our lawn, but I think we were one of the few farmers in the area that did.

For me, being a Canadian is something that I realize more and more how much it is a blessing.
So many folks in the world don't live with peace, prosperity, or security of ANY kind.
I conversed with a young fellow yesterday who came here with his brother from India. He is making it work, but I am sure there are many days when he is pretty lonely for India and family.

Today I also remember that;
I am also a citizen of Heaven.
I feel blessed x2!

We invite you to
pray through the summer with our Leadership Team.
That the journey and process of looking for our next lead pastor would be:
- Holy Spirit led
- Clearly shown to be God's way
- A journey of Humility and Trust in God's leading
- A shift in our hearts to be more like Jesus
In Philippians, Paul speaks of how to live as
citizens of Heaven
while we still live in Canada!
3:17 Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.
18 For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ.
19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.
20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Enjoy,
Be thankful,
Be Generous
All principles of our Kingdom above.
