Good morning, Black Creek Church Family!
This week went better than I thought it might....
On Sunday night, I was anticipating Monday STRESS.
The crew was all going to be back, and I thought that some things that weren't accomplished over the break would create an 'issue'.....
'why hasn't ...... been done'...
Anxiety and stress in my brain.
We prayed about it, released it to the Lord to handle it....
and it was a non-issue all week. Thank you, Jesus!
This week, I have been reading Jimmy Darts' book,
"Undercover Kindness: Saying Yes to Love, No to Fear, and Embracing the Life-Changing Power of Ordinary Generosity." Check his website here
Reading his story and how Christ has used Jimmy to bring life to others
has been such an encouragement for me to step forward, speak life, and be creative in generosity....
including times when I feel taken advantage of (read - 'let it go, Peter').
Adult and Children's Sunday School begins this Sunday
Fundraiser Lunch this Sunday after the service.
Bring a dessert to share if you like.
I have been praying for some in my circle to find Jesus in their time of desperate need.
John 6:4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.
5 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him,
Jesus said to Philip, Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?
6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.
7 Philip answered him, Two hundred denarii would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little.
8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter s brother, said to him,
9 There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?
