Good day my Black Creek Church Family,

This last Sunday I received an email announcing the death of a friend, mentor, sister in Christ, and fellow minister of the Gospel of Grace.

Marlene Fordham, wife of Charlie Fordham and co-founder of Capernwray Harbour on Thetis Island, passed into glory after a long battle with Parkinson's.
Marlene called me last week from the hospital and I had the opportunity to pray with her, not knowing it would be the last time I would speak with her this side of heaven.
As I looked through her obituary today it struck me again...
How those we love can be here.....
and gone.
A while ago Donna and I spent some time with Charlie and Marlene.
We laughed and enjoyed stories and each other's company....

I have no regrets. Our times together have been ones that build up each other.
Marlene long ago put all her 'eggs' in the 'Jesus basket' and I look forward to the day when we will be able to tell stories and laugh again.

This weekend
Easter Sunday

- Sunrise service at the
Oysterbay Rest area across from the Driftwood Restaurant at 6 am - dress warm

- Breakfast from 7-9 at the church - bring something to share

- Sunday Service - 10:30 Easter Musical - invite a friend

Pray for the Capernwray staff and Marlene's family. In particular, Charlie her husband, who lost all eyesight a few years ago.
This was the verse included in her life story.
“I have set the Lord continually before me;
because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;
my flesh also will dwell securely.
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol;
you will not allow your Holy One to undergo decay.
You will make known to me the way of life;
in Your Presence is fullness of joy:
In your right hand there are pleasures forever.” Ps 16: 8-11
Brothers and sisters,
Cherish the moments with your loved ones.

They are sometimes more important than we know.
Blessings,
Peter Jackson
