This morning I was again reminded of
the amazing principle that;
God looks after His people.

I read the story of Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20
They didn't even have to fight the army of immense proportions.
God told them to trust in Him
and He would fight for them.

And he did
and the enemy turned on each other
and destroyed themselves
and it took 3 days for the nation of Judah
to pick up the 'stuff' left over.

So...
I hear that story....

and then I hear the story
of a young person
who prays to God
and He 'doesn't answer'....

Hmm...

In fact in my life
sometimes I hesitate to pray for;
- healing
- miracles
- God to 'show up' (even though he's always here.....)

because I am afraid He
Won't.

Won't heal
Won't 'hear me'
Won't do it.....

It brings to my mind
a story from the life of Corrie ten Boom
- In a Nazi concentration camp
- bugs in their bedding
so many they could hardly stand it.
- Corrie's sister just thanked God
- for bugs.....
Corrie couldn't.
'God please take away the bugs....'
'Take away this one more thing that is bad and evil and wrong.....'

And God Didn't Answer!....

and then.....
she found out that the bugs actually kept the guards out of their barracks
kept them from assaulting the women
kept them private so they could worship God
in the midst of terrible evil...

Hmmm....

I believe
the principle stands.
God does care for his children
even when sometimes
in the moment
looking on
in the midst of evil
it doesn't look like it
and
I have to apply Faith.

Oh boy.
Back to that again..... :P

Lord,
Your Kingdom
Your Promises
impacting my life
....even when I don't understand why
or how
or even if I wonder if You are listening...

You said You would never
leave
or
forsake
me Heb 13:5,6

I am Your child
You love me
You are
Good.

and I again
put my trust in You
for my
Life.

No matter
what.

Thank You Jesus
You walked the same path
You ask me to walk.

Yes.
Thank You.
Lord.
