Dear Black Creek Church family,

The week has flown by once again.

God continues to surprise, bless, and challenge me

to enter into His plan for the day.

I find I need to be watching to see what is He up to....

in the midst of 'getting things done'

This week Donna and I helped a fellow move some furniture.

The problem?

He felt bad having us help.

He really wanted to do it all by himself.

I so resonate with that.   I don't like to be 'beholdin' to anyone.

The next day after a few more 'thank you's' and 'I'm sorry to have bothered you's'

I mentioned to him that giving and receiving actually builds relationships.

It's what makes friends out of neighbours.

It's what builds trust and care.

And now....

the shoe is on the other foot....

He wants to give to me.

....an invitation for Donna and me to come over for a traditional meal from his home country.  Not too hard to receive,

and a very nice way for him to give back...

Romans 12:10  Love one another with brotherly affection.

Outdo one another in showing honor.

This Sunday enjoy some cake with Heidi Reinhold as we celebrate her 30 years of service in our church community.

A reminder that the Men's Band of Brothers is canceled this Friday, but the Ladies movie night is still on.

Bill and Katie Enns ask for prayer as Bill recovers in Campbell River Hospital from a stroke.

Continue to Pray for others in our 'family' who are in difficult situations.

Colossians 3:15  And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,

to which indeed you were called in one body.

And be thankful.

16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,

teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,

singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
17  And whatever you do,

in word or deed,

do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,

giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Blessings on your week as you choose to give

....and receive,

Peter Jackson
