Hi my Friday Update friends,

This week I heard something I didn't expect.  In the usual chit-chat of the day I said something that I thought was slightly funny but also made a point that I have high standards.
The recipient’s response was unexpected.... "
Yeah, you always get your dig in."

Hmmm
It took me a while to process that....
Initially, I thought, 'Oh he didn't hear it in the way that I meant it.'
Then God helped me think it through and recognize that sometimes when I take the 'high moral road'..... it comes with a 'smell'.
The smell of "I am better than you." with a bit of sarcasm thrown in.
God pointed out that I can choose an entirely different communication path:
Affirming and encouraging - without compromise.

What a great Aha moment. Building bridges instead of putting up roadblocks.

Summer schedule changes:
- Sunday Morning Streaming
As is normal in Summer, many of our ministry volunteers are away or not available on a regular basis. We have decided to 'Pause' the Sunday Morning Stream from June until the fall.  Our apologies to those that use it regularly.

- Friday Update 'Devotional' In the middle of June I will step into 'Camp Bob mode' and will be unable to do some of my routine communications.  The devotional thought with the update is one of those things.  If you need to get a hold of me, let Heidi know and she can get a message to me or you can catch me on any Sunday.  I will be home at different times during the week through the summer.

I keep hearing health challenges for some of our older folks.  I am challenged to continue to pray for those in difficult circumstances.

1 Peter 3:14  But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake,  you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, 15  but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; 16a  yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience.....

Blessings as you share His 'aroma' to those in your circle of influence. It is pleasing and inviting,
